May - Asian Heritage Month

Canada is Multi Cultural country, and it has Welcomed, people from all around the world with open arms. May is celebrated as Asian Heritage Month in Canada, to acknowledge the long and rich history of Asian Canadian and their contribution to Canada. Since 2001 Asian Heritage Month has been celebrate in Canada and I guess in some part of USA as well. Canadian Asian are invited to take part in events, which is going on during the whole month, like, singing, dancing, films, music, cooking demonstration, reading, exhibition etc.. Each school in Canada celebrate this Asian Heritage Month in their own way. I have attained this for first time, as Ananyaa participate in fashion show, this year from her Class, where she has to represent Gujarat. Students get to learn about different culture and tradition and how to respect other culture. For whole month, one and another event was going on, like Mendhi Day, Student need to find out historic meaning of their own name, Cultural Day, Samosa feast, etc, etc.  So not writing much now, Picture will say more about it. I am glad, I made it to school today for this event.
